Paindigay sa Padada is a festival
celebrated every 25th of January in honor of Sr. Santo
Nino. This year's celebration was started with a eucharistic
mass followed by a parade snaking thorugh the town's major
thoroughfares. Today's Paindigay was participated by Padada
Central School, Padada South, St. Michael's School,
Southeastern College, Carmelo Trade School, Municipal
employees, Bgy. Tulogan, Almendras and NCO districts. The
presentation by the participants was fabulous and attracted
quite a crowd and was even much more lively and colorful
than the previous years. There wasn't a contest though.
Sr. Santo Nino is one of the most
venerated patrons in the country, almost every Filipino
households have at least one of his statues on thier altars.
The mother of all Santo Nino fiestas is the Sinulog festival
in Cebu City, Its grand carnival like celebration has been
drawing tourists and devotees from all over the globe.
